  13.  Unicuique Suum! is a Shareware program: if you use it, please send me US$3;
  14.  my address is written at the bottom of the documentation.
  15.  Well US$3, yes..., but more is also well accepted! =8*)
  16.  Last but not least, I recommend you to keep program and documentation
  17.  together.

  19.  US! was created for the version 3.0 and 3.1 of the Operating System.

  21.  - PURPOSE
  22.  
  23.  The purpose of this program is to have three settings of the Workbench or,
  24.  better, to give several users of an Amiga the possibility to set up the Wb
  25.  as they want and like.
  26.  
  27.  The software is a lot useful even when you are in short of memory: by
  28.  tacking back the Workbench to the default settings, without any localization
  29.  or without any picture or sound, for example, you can save a lot of RAM,
  30.  so that you will be able to run even the most pretentious programs.

  32.  - HOW DO I INSTALL IT?
  33.  
  34.  Copy the file Uni! and the Uniq. directory into the S: drawer, and the
  35.  program Unicuique-Suum!2.0 wherever you want.
  36.  
  37.  - THE PROGRAM
  38.  
  39.  To run US! during the Workbench loading, you have only to keep a mousebutton
  40.  clicked after the reset of the Amiga.
  41.  So the program will not be shown every boot of the computer.
  42.  In this case however you have to add to the Startup-sequence (S:) the
  43.  following command line, after the line C:Copy >NIL: ENVARC: Ram:Env (well,
  44.  before Endcli =8*), DEVICE:PATH/Unicuique-Suum!2.0 NOSHOW.
  45.  Alternatively it is possible to insert the line just mentioned in
  46.  S:user-startup.
  47.  
  48.  To run US! from Workbench instead, you have only to double-click on its icon.
  49.  
  50.  - PHILOSOPHY OF THE PROGRAM
  51.  
  52.  Amiga searches the preferences files in SYS:PREFS/ENV-ARCHIVE/SYS
  53.  (ENVARC:Sys).
  54.  If you click on the PREFS1 or PREFS2 button, the system will assign ENVARC:
  55.  respectively to ENV-ARCHIVE1 and ENV-ARCHIVE2, which will become the new
  56.  default dir of preference saving.
  57.  Now, if you choose Preferences 2, for example, when you save your own "prefs",
  58.  they will be saved into ENV-ARCHIVE2, and NOT into ENV-ARCHIVE.
  59.  
  60.  Max Memory saves as much RAM as possible, while WbenchStartup ignores the
  61.  WBStartup drawer at the boot.
  62.  
  63.  The other gadgets eliminate all the preferences, but only till the reset of
  64.  the machine.

  66.  - IMPORTANT

  68.  The author declines every responsibility for possible - but VERY unlikely -
  69.  damages or loss of data that the software could cause to the computer.

  98.  US! Φ un programma SHAREWARE: se lo usate, per favore, inviatemi
  99.  Lire 4000; se pero' proprio morite dalla voglia di inviarmi un assegno
  100.  in bianco, non manchero' di usufruirne... (VabbΦ, lasciamo perdere...)

  104.  US! Φ stato creato appositamente per la versione 3.0/3.1 del Workbench.

  106.  - A COSA SERVE
  107.  
  108.  Lo scopo di questo programma Φ quello di avere diversi settaggi del
  109.  Workbench, o meglio, di dare la possibilitα a vari utenti di uno stesso
  110.  Amiga di settare il banco di lavoro come pare e piace loro.
  111.  
  112.  Il programma risulta molto utile anche quando si Φ a corto di memoria:
  113.  riportando il Wb ai valori di default, senza alcuna localizzazione e
  114.  senza alcun disegno di background, ad esempio, si riesce a risparmiare
  115.  parecchia RAM, cos∞ da far girare anche i programmi pi∙ pretenziosi, in 
  116.  fatto di spazio.

  118.  - COME SI INSTALLA
  119.  
  120.  Lanciare "Installa".
  121.  Verranno copiati il file Uni! e la directory Uniq. in S:.
  122.  
  123.  - IL PROGRAMMA
  124.  
  125.  Per lanciare US! durante il caricamento del Wb, basta tenere cliccato un
  126.  tasto del mouse subito dopo il reset di Amiga.
  127.  Il programma, cos∞, non verrα mostrato ad ogni boot del computer.
  128.  In questo caso, pero', si deve aggiungere alla User-Startup (in S:) la
  129.  seguente riga di comando: Path:path/Unicuique-Suum!2.0 NOSHOW.
  130.  Path Φ, ovviamente, il percorso per giungere al file.
  131.  Alternativamente Φ possibile inserire il tutto nella Startup-sequence, dopo
  132.  la lista degli "Assign".

  134.  Per lanciare US! da Workbench, invece, basta bi-cliccare sulla sua icona.

  136.  - FILOSOFIA DI FUNZIONAMENTO
  137.  
  138.  Amiga cerca i file preferenze in SYS:PREFS/ENV-ARCHIVE/SYS, il cui nome
  139.  logico Φ ENVARC:Sys.
  140.  Cliccando il mouse sui primi due pulsanti virtuali di Unicuique Suum!,
  141.  Preferences 1 e Preferences 2, il software assegnerα ENVARC:
  142.  rispettivamente a ENV-ARCHIVE1 e ENV-ARCHIVE2, che diverranno cos∞ le
  143.  nuove directory di salvataggio prefs.
  144.  Ora, scegliendo ad esempio Preferences 2, quando salveremo i nostri
  145.  settaggi con gli appositi programmi Wb, essi verranno registrati in
  146.  ENV-ARCHIVE2, e NON in ENV-ARCHIVE.
  147.  Max Memory disabilita, come giα accennato, ogni "abbellimento" del
  148.  Workbench, cos∞ da guadagnare sino a qualche centinaio di K di RAM.
  149.  
  150.  WbenchStartup fa in modo che il sistema ignori l'esistenza di WBStartup
  151.  in fase di boot.
  152.  WbenchStartup funziona da interruttore: se tale dir Φ abilitata, la
  153.  disabilita, e vice versa.
  154.  
  155.  Con la mediazione dei rimanenti "bottoni", si eliminano le rispettive
  156.  preferenze, ma SOLO FINO AL SUCCESSIVO BOOT, quando tutto tornerα
  157.  normale.
  158.  Infatti non verrα cancellato assolutamente nulla in ENVARC:, ma verranno
  159.  ripristinate le prefs di default del Workbench, in Ram:Env/Sys.
  160.  Nota: "Printer" comprende: Printer, Printerps e Printergfx.
  161.  => Ricordarsi dell'esistenza di InitPrinter in Tools (Workbench).

  163.  Il file che si occupa dell'assegnazione Φ UNi!, un semplice file script,
  164.  modificabile, in quanto tale, da qualsiasi utente.

  166.  - IMPORTANTE

  168.  L'autore declina ogni responsabilitα per eventuali, ma MOLTO improbabili
  169.  danni che il software potrebbe arrecare al computer o ai dati in esso
  170.  contenuti.
